About the Job Coach Position

We’re seeking a dedicated and ambitious Job Coach to join our human resources team! As a Job Coach, you’ll be regularly working with employees or potential employees to evaluate professional gaps and identify and develop skill sets. 

The ideal candidate will be able to build rapport with clients while motivating them to further their working skills, meet career objectives, and achieve their goals. Strong communication skills are a must for a Job Coach, along with a variety of other skills.

Job Coach Responsibilities

• Serve as a mentor by creating and implementing strategies to coach clients through employment challenges
• Assess client strengths and weaknesses to evaluate directions of potential career growth
• Conduct tests to assess client abilities 
• Evaluate job performance, providing feedback as necessary
• Advocate for and promote inclusion in the workplace
• Serve as a liaison between employee and company
• Work with employers to identify possible job opportunities
• Assist clients with learning how to use job-related tools and equipment

Job Coach Requirements

• BA/BS in human resources, psychology, education, or related field preferred
• [2+] years experience working as a Job Coach
• Strong knowledge of various career fields and paths
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Must be a team player who is able to connect with people
