About the Animator Position

We’re seeking an experienced Animator with a strong portfolio to join our team of artists. As an Animator, you’ll help bring characters and scenes to life, whether in 2D or 3D. Creativity skills are a must, as is experience with a variety of animation software.

Animator Responsibilities 

  • Review scripts and storyboards to get a strong understanding of the assigned animation project
  • Create and edit animations by hand or with various software programs
  • Collaborate with other team members and art directors to incorporate feedback into animations
  • Add animation effects based on character developments
  • Work alongside audio engineers to synch animations with audio as needed
  • Present final animation product to directors and/or clients
  • Ensure all animations are delivered by deadline
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and developments

Animator Requirements

  • [1+] years experience as an Animator
  • BA/BFA in graphic design, illustration, studio art, or similar field
  • A diverse portfolio of animation projects
  • Experience working with animation programs including but not limited to Adobe Illustrator, Cinema 4D, and Houdini
  • Strong knowledge of animation and storytelling techniques 
  • An understanding of color theory
  • Keen attention to detail and a willingness to accept feedback, both positive and negative
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced work environment
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team as needed
